For the past four years I have been watching my little girl, Leah, grow up through the lens of my Nikon and Canon cameras. The adventure never ends and each day that passes becomes more fun and precious. Miss Leah Grace, born on April 2, is just like her mommy - stubborn, sassy, strong-minded, intelligent, and beautiful - ok, well that is what everyone else tells me! To me, she is a handful, wild, crazy, silly, fun and dramatic but most of all a beautiful disaster or simply a mess! She is my life, my world and my only! She is photographed often so you will see photos of her as she grows into one fierce woman, whom I hope will embrace all the beauty and knowledge she can from each person she comes in contact with so that she builds character from each soul she meets.
My story began in 1985. My family lived in Pendergrass at the time, just behind my Paw-Paw. At age 5, my mom and dad moved us to the huge, over populated, noisy, and well, the City of Maysville. Woohoo, living it up now, y'all! Maysville, was actually a super small, quiet, split between 2 counties city so if you needed the police (which we had at our home often) you would have to plan your adventures so that the cops arrived at just the right time, otherwise it would take 30-45 minutes because they were arguing over who was going to deal with those Bruce's this time. Such rebels and trouble-makers we were. Trust me those stories are priceless.
Growing up in Maysville with an older brother that enjoyed being just that, he is responsible for making me physically tough. Every scar, bruise and broken bone has a funny story to go along with it. I love my brother, Jonathan, not only because I was forever known as "Jonathan Bruce's little sister" but because he taught me how to be mean, how to ride a bike, how to flip said bike, how to smack the hell outta a softball, how to walk back upstairs and change my outfit because he wasn't letting me walk out of the house looking like that, and most importantly - the difference between making a choice and choosing a path.
At the age of 10, I made a choice. From that moment forward I have chose to do what makes me laugh and smile each day. I have been married, divorced, employed, unemployed and everything in between. Currently I reside in Winder. I do love the part of Winder I do live in, I live 3 doors away from my best friend, Cori. So here the story begins ...
Photography and Racing were the turning points in my life. I graduated from Lanier Technical College in Oakwood with a degree in Motorsports Vehicle Technology and went on to be a carbon fiber specialist for race teams throughout the country. I have traveled the country, seen the most amazing places, met the most fantastic people and loved my job. It was my dream job. The race fuel, endurance racing events, and just the team effort were my favorite things. If you want stories, I can tell you some stories! I also have degrees in Photography, Economics and I am a Certified Economic Developer for the State of Georgia. Economic Development rounded out my top 3 in the passion for a job category. I loved helping my county and community grow!
Photography is my second passion. I love capturing the personality and emotion of my clients. Each session is customized to your personality so that when you are in front of my camera you are comfortable and in your element. If you are the 'let's go muddin' person, well - let me get my boots on and let's go muddin!
I am YOUR photographer, Let's go create YOUR story!
